Each August, this event draws over 200 cars and exhibitors from throughout the Midwest to Cottonwood Cove Park in Dakota City. A real must see for car buffs. Also features Cruise Night and an old-fashioned street dance.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church - Historical, Attraction
Built in 1860, this was the first Lutheran Church to be built in Nebraska Territory and is the oldest church building of any denomination now standing in Nebraska. Listed on the National Register of Historical Places, Annual service held in late August at the 1500 Hickory Street in Dakota City. Built in 1860, this was the first Lutheran Church in the Nebraska Territory.
Iron Horse Course - Sports & Recreation, Attraction
This golf course is for players of all skill levels. Opened in 2001, it has expansive greens, water hazards, and multiple tees.

Lewis and Clark Wayside - Historical, Attraction
Located on the bluffs of the Missouri River, about 3 miles from where the expedition had their longest encampment, and about 4 miles from where they caught over 1300 fish in one day. This outlook commemorates the historic discovery and provides a breathtaking view of the beautiful Missouri River.
